31st of MAY - DAY OF MEMORY OF VICTIMS OF POLITICAL REPRESSION AND HUNGER

On May 31, 2019 the Department of pharmacognosy held an event dedicated to the Day of memory of victims of political repression and hunger. By the decree of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev this day has been celebrated since 1997. As a result of a tough policy on the definition of “enemies of the people,” not only the repressed themselves suffered, but also their relatives. Among them were the Kazakh intelligentsia: scholars, cultural figures and politicians.

The senior curator of the department of pharmacognosy Z.E. Ibrahimova acquainted with the purpose of holding this event, a student of group B-TPhPKB-01-16 K.Turdaly made a report on the memory of the repressed Kazakh intelligentsia. After the presentation was shown a video on the topic.

The final word was given to the head of the Department of youth policy N. R.Akhmetov, acting professor of pharmacognosy, c.pharm.s. .Zh. S. Toksanbaeva, senior teacher of the department of chemical disciplines A. E. Bukharbaeva.
