Training «Ethics in biomedical research»

From June 18 to June 19, 2020, a training on the topic «Ethics in biomedical research» was held on the basis of SKMA. The training was conducted by the Chairman of the Central Commission on bioethics of the Ministry of health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, doctor of medical Sciences, Professor Sarymsakova Bakhyt Yerkeshevna.

The training was attended by 16 attendees: the Rector of SKMA, Professor M.M. Rysbekov, Vice-rector for scientific and clinical work B.K. Nurmashev, first Vice-rector for strategic development and innovation M.M. Yessirkepov, Vice-rector for financial and economic activities Zh.S. Seitzhanova, Vice-rector for educational and methodical work M.U. Anartayeva, head of the Department of strategic development and international cooperation A.A. Akhmetova and members of the Local Commission on bioethics of SKMA.

The training attendees were introduced to the following questions: Bioethics, history of development; Review of regulatory international documents in the field of biomedical research ethics; Basic ethical principles of biomedical research; Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of biomedical research; Informed consent form; Informed consent procedure; Principle of vulnerability in scientific research; risk and benefit assessment in biomedical research; Confidentiality in biomedical research.

Thus, the training attendees improved their qualifications in the field of ethics in biomedical research and good clinical practice, which was confirmed by the issuance of certificates. During the training, numerous questions of attendees were answered
