THE ROLE OF SIMULATION TRAINING IN THE PREPARATION SYSTEM OF DENTISTS
The newest dental technologies and methods of treatment require from future dentists the highest manual skills, which, due to objective reasons, cannot be mastered only in clinical dental departments by receiving patients. The organization of simulation training, in addition to the traditional classes in dental departments is an effective method of improving the quality of practical skills of future dentists.
The Practical skills center of SKMA was replenished with the newest dental equipment - dental simulators, representing the automated workplace of the dentist, which include a human head model with a built-in adjustable articulator that reproduces all the anatomical movements of the lower jaw, with the possibility of installing various models of jaws, mandible in stable occlusion, anatomically appropriate dentofacial apparatus of an adult patient. A characteristic feature is full compliance with the natural teeth, which includes the structure of the interdental spaces, the structure of the cervical area of the roots, the structure of the masticatory surfaces and crowns, the structure of the gums and palate, the structure of the front teeth.
Teaching by using dental simulators contributes to the effectiveness of training not only students of the SKMA, as well as practical specialists.
