The Republican Center for Health Development summarized the results of the ranking score of the science of medical universities and scientific organizations

The Republican Center for Health Development gummed up the results of the rating of medical universities, research institutes, scientific and national centers on indicators of scientific and innovative activity for 2017.

The following key indicators were taken into account when evaluating scientific organizations and higher schools: the volume of scientific research, the number of scientific publications, the frequency of citations, the registration of patents and scientific research results, the commercialization of scientific results, participation in international conferences.

Based on the results of the analysis, the leading positions in the rating of medical universities in Kazakhstan were 1place - Karaganda State Medical University, 2 place - South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, 3 place - Kazakh Medical University of Continuing Education.

The best indicators of the development of medical science in the research institute / clinical center of clinical profile were shown by the Research Institute of Radiation Medicine and Ecology - the first place in the rating, the 2nd place - the National Scientific Center for Surgery named after Syzganov, 3rd place - Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Diseases.

This assessment was conducted in accordance with the methodology of ranking the organizations of medical science and medical universities, approved by the order of the Ministry of Health of the RK of July 12, 2013, No. 404 and updated in 2015 by an algorithm for assessing indicators of scientific and innovative activity.

Publication of the annual National rating of medical institutes and scientific organizations is envisaged by the State Program "Densaulyk" for 2016-2019 and is aimed at increasing the transparency of activity and competitiveness of Kazakhstan scientific organizations in the field of public health.

The development of innovation and medical science is defined by one of the directions of the State Program "Densaulyk". Within the framework of the implementation of the project approach to the implementation of the State Program, the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan is launched the project "Modernization of Medical Education and Science", including the subproject "Development of Medical Science". Its purpose is to increase the relevance and competitiveness of scientific research in the field of health.
