The Kazakh and Russian transplant specialists met in Shymkent: trilateral memorandum of cooperation was signed

"From 2013 to 2020, 175 liver and kidney transplants were performed at the Shymkent City Clinical Hospital No. 1." -said Deputy Akim of the city of Shymkent S.Zh Mukan in his speech, opening the international online scientific and practical conference “Current issues of transplantology in the Russian Federation and the development of services in the city of Shymkent and Turkestan region" and continued. - For many years now, Shymkent has become a business card for Kazakhstan people and travelers from near and far abroad. The coronavirus pandemic, however, affected to the flow of tourists. Their number has decreased in such an important segment as a medical tourism. Nevertheless, the administration of the third megalopolis is determined not only to develop internal and external tourism, but is also ready to support the field of medicine, including transplantology."

Moderator of the conference, rector of the South Kazakhstan medical Academy M.M. Rysbekov thanked all participants and guests for an opportunity in an online format to meet the participants and discuss the long-term prospects. M. M. Rysbekov also noted that before the conference a tripartite Memorandum of cooperation was officially signed between the Institute of emergency care named after N.V. Sklifosovsky of the Department of health of Moscow city, Russian Federation, South Kazakhstan medical Academy and the City clinical hospital №1 of the city of Shymkent.

Professor M.S. Novruzbekov told about the history of the creation and work of emergency services of the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Medicine. Docent O.D. Olisov made a report on the development of the transplant service at the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute.

A. Zh.Donbay, the chief doctor of the State Medical Hospital No. 1, informed the audience about the formation of the transplant service in Shymkent and the Turkestan region. He spoke about the composition of the participants, which included representatives of the akimat, the city health department, medical institutions, universities and the scientific community. That the joint efforts of transplantology in Shymkent and the region will develop as one of the significant sources of replenishment of the budget.
