The transition to distance learning requires the development of certain procedures for organizing and conducting various classes, special procedures for conducting professional practice. If questions on the use of various information platforms practically do not arise, then students need a wide discussion with the medical educational community on the quality of tasks, methods and forms of assessing clinical practice.

To this end, on April 3, 2020, at 14:00, a discussion was organized on the Zoom platform on the issues of conducting clinical practice for students of the Nursing educational program with medical universities. The material was presented by the head of the Department of Emergency Medicine and Nursing, SKMA, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor A.A. Seydakhmetova on the topic: “Organization and conduct of clinical practice in the conditions of distance learning”.

All Kazakhstani medical universities, more than 30 participants took part in the discussion of issues.

The presentation provided links to Clinical Nursing Guides, videos on nursing and evidence-based nursing practice, nursing webinars (ethics in nursing, research in nursing, communication skills for nurses), evidence-based nursing practices, website of the Center for Improving Nursing . Also, work was shown in the Platonus information system for entering developed tasks for students in industrial practice into the Task module, working with students in Zoom, Hangouts, Webex Meet, e-mail, WhatsApp, etc. How will the student fill out an electronic diary daily, hosted at Platonus, demonstrated student assignments.

After the report, the participants discussed the organization of the practice. Colleagues from medical universities asked questions on the algorithms for practical skills, the form and filling of electronic diaries by students in industrial practice, transferring practice to the next academic year, and conducting pedagogical practice.
