Solemn event “December 16 – Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Independence”

On the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to foster a sense of patriotism and pride in the historical past, present and bright future of the people of Kazakhstan, in the city universal library named after A. Pushkin on 12/12/24. a solemn event “December 16 - Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Independence” was held, organized by the department “History of Kazakhstan and social disciplines”.
The purpose of the educational event is to explain the historical significance of the December event and to develop patriotic qualities among young people.
During the event, the participants honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence. A video presentation of events and a chronicle of the formation of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan was presented.

During the educational event, 1st-2nd year students of the Faculty of Medicine performed poems and kuis, reports and showed skits related to the December event.
An illustrative book exhibition has been prepared for the event, which presents materials about the history of Independence and the motives that served as the impetus for the December events of 1986.
Senior teachers of the department Ibraimova A.Zh. and Myrzazia A.A. were awarded letters of gratitude for their active participation in the solemn event “December 16, Remembrance Day for the Victims of Independence.”
