SKSPhA IS AT THE SECOND PLACE IN THE NATIONAL RATING OF SCIENTIFIC ORGANIZATIONS OF HEALTH CARE AND MEDICAL UNIVERSITIES OF KAZAKHSTAN

There were published the rating assessment results of research outcomes of organizations and medical universities on indicators of scientific and innovative activity for 2016 prepared by the Center of Human Resources Development and Science of RSE “Republican Center for Health Development” of MH RK. 

South-Kazakhstan State Pharmaceutical Academy took the second place according to the research work indicators of its employees, it let pass only Karaganda State Medical University. JSC “Medical University of Astana”, JSC “State Medical University of Semey”, WKSMU named after M.Ospanov, KazNMU named after Asfendiyarov were behind.

7 medical universities, 20 research institutes and research centers, 6 research institutes and non-clinical research centers took part in this rating. The main indicators of effectiveness are: the number of publications in international peer-reviewed scientific journals indexed in authoritative databases of scientific information, citation of research papers for the last 5 years; the number of patents and other protection documents, and the number of scientific research results. They can also include the amount of conducted research, the level of commercialization and scientific research results and innovations, the transfer of new knowledge and technologies to health care system and the level of organization employees’ and students’ participation in international conferences and forums.

33 medical organizations of Kazakhstan took part in this rating.

Medical science in healthcare organizations and universities operates on the basis of the implementation of state program for the development of public health in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2016-2019. There are more than 11 thousand researchers in this field, including 580 Doctors, 1607 Candidates of Sciences, 81 PhDs, 863 Masters.
