Today, an event called "Shymkent - a drug-free city" was held in our city organized by the Police Department of Shymkent and the city administration. About 1,500 volunteers and young students participated in the campaign. The purpose of this campaign is to encourage young people to lead a healthy lifestyle by explaining the harmfulness of synthetic drugs.
There are 70 precinct police stations in the city. “About 1,500 young volunteers will be assigned to these checkpoints, and we will visit the courtyards and streets and remove drug advertisements” - said Arman Beisenbaev, Deputy Head of the Shymkent City Police Department.
In the course of the meeting, the specialists demonstrated the procedure for action in case of practical observation of drug dealers, encouraged them to avoid harmful habits, lead a healthy lifestyle, and engage in useful activities in their free time. Young people asked the relevant experts their questions, got answers and freely exchanged opinions.
At the same time, active young people raised their voice on one of the most important decisions in the country - construction of nuclear power plant, shared their own opinions for taking an important decision as a country and be active on the day of the referendum. In addition to removing drug-distributing signs in the city, the volunteers participated in identifying drug points and distributed about 10,000 leaflets.
