SCIENTIFIC INTERNSHIP OF UNDERGRADUATES AT THE TASHKENT PHARMACEUTICAL INSTITUTE

Within the framework of the memorandum between the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy and the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute from 12/11/2022 to 12/22/2022, 2 year undergraduates of the Department of Pharmacognosy Abilova Ardak, Kalzhan Aliaskar, Mauzhan Shyrailym completed a scientific internship at the «Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute» and «Laboratory of coordination compounds and biological active substances». The scientific internship is aimed at consolidating core competencies, increasing the level of scientific and professional training, qualifications and practical skills in the educational program "Pharmacy", increasing the cultural and general level of knowledge.

In accordance with the scientific internship plan, the undergraduates completed the following works: they got acquainted with the database of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute and discussed the internship program.
In accordance with the program of scientific internship, undergraduate Abilova A. conducted experimental research on the topic of her dissertation:
• Qualitative analysis of fenugreek seeds by IR spectroscopy and thin-layer chromatography (TLC);
• Determination of the amount of BAS obtained from fenugreek seeds.
Undergraduate student A. Kalzhan conducted experimental research on the topic of his dissertation:
• Qualitative analysis of spikelet dendrosteller grass by IR spectroscopy and thin-layer chromatography (TLC);
• Determination of the amount of BAS obtained from the grass of the spikelet dendrosteller.
Undergraduate Mauzhan Sh. She conducted experimental research on the topic of her dissertation work:
• Qualitative analysis of milk thistle flowers by IR spectroscopy and thin-layer chromatography (TLC);
• Determination of the amount of BAS obtained from milk thistle flowers.

We got acquainted with the database of the Laboratory of coordination compounds and biological active substances, where the amount of flavonoids in medicinal plant raw materials was determined using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and spectrophotometry (SP).

Also at the "Institute of Chemistry of Plant Substances named after. Academician S.Yu. Yunusova" undergraduates received consultations from the head of the laboratory "Flavanoids", Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor E.H. Botirov based on the dissertation topic.

During the entire period of the PhD, ass.professor Xalilova Sh.R. provided support to undergraduates. In addition, the head of the Department of Pharmacognosy of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, N.T. Farmanova, took part in holding events in accordance with the scientific internship program. The scientific internship proved to be very effective and useful for further research activities.
