Round table “Youth against corruption”
9.12.24 on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day in the SKMA dormitory, senior lecturer of the department “History of Kazakhstan and social disciplines” Malikov M.M. held a round table with students on the topic “Youth against corruption.”
Goal: explain the concept of “corruption” and increase legal literacy. This is a responsible attitude towards one’s country and education of justice.
In the modern world, corruption is one of the dangerous social phenomena that directly affect the interests of society and the state. And it is the youth who should become the fighter against this. Corruption has a great impact on young people. Bribes in educational institutions, the inability to find a job after higher education without money or connections, protectionism and nepotism, which are also types of corruption, negatively affect the moral and psychological state of a young person, which can lead him to bad thoughts. Thanks to a clear, consistent anti-corruption state policy, an atmosphere of intolerance towards corrupt officials should be created in society and conditions should be created in order to conduct a “merciless fight against corruption, regardless of persons and positions.” Thus, it can be concluded that it is the younger generation that should become a fighter against corruption. Because it affects young people in the first place, especially when applying to higher education institutions.
During the event, senior teacher Malikov M.M. discussed with students anti-corruption legislation and measures in the country and abroad. In addition, students expressed their thoughts about corruption and indicated ways to combat it.
During the discussion, it was noted that corruption is a negative phenomenon of modern society, which requires a systematic approach, comprehensive and decisive action.
