Round table: "Doctor and patient: joint responsibility for health"
On December 21, 2017 in the small hall of SKSPhA a round table was held and organized by the Department of Nursing and Emergency. The theme of the round table: "Doctor and patient: joint responsibility for health" - is more relevant than ever.
This round table, as acting Professor of Department G. Yunuskhodzhayeva said, is the logical conclusion of the study during the semester of the new discipline “Patient-oriented learning”.
The main participants of the event were students of two groups, 210 B and 211 B specializing in General medicine. Both groups are taught in English, so the speeches sounded mainly in this language. Participants of the round table were representatives of the administration of the Academy: Vice-rector for academic work, PhD. M.U. Anartayeva and the head of the educational department, associate professor A.G. Ibragimova, the head of Nursing and Emergency Department associate Professor A.A.Seydakhmetova, Editor of the journal “Vestnik of SKSPhA” (“Messenger of SKSPhA”) R.A. Shaymerdenova, curator of 210 B group, senior teacher of the microbiology department G.T. Alimzhanova, curator of 211 B group, senior teacher of the Kazakh, Russian, English languages Department U.A. Khasanova, Assoc. prof. B.O. Torlanova, teachers of the department.
Issues of medical ethics and deontology, medical education, the relationship between the doctor and the patient; conflictology were considered; the definition of health itself was defined; participants discussed the problem of health culture preservation ; consent of the patient; covered the issues of clinical examination and screening, proposed models of successful population-based strategies for maintaining health.
All the participants in the round table agreed that a traditional model of health care when health care providers carried full responsibility for the patient's health was replaced by a patient-oriented model when the patient was drawn to cooperation and awareness of responsibility for his own health.
