The participating GP interns conveyed the information as clearly as possible. A skit and an interview with a very emotional and interesting scenario were demonstrated for the students of Miras University present.

We reinforced the material with a visual presentation and an intellectual game with the participation of the audience. It was discussed in great detail: the essence of this pathology, modes of transmission, moral and legal responsibility, adherence to therapy, and much more.

The students present in the hall, participating in an intellectual game, very actively answered questions. All active students were awarded nice prizes. At the end of the event, the most active students left positive feedback. In particular, they noted that they learned a lot of new information about the causes and measures to prevent HIV infection, and were glad that they touched on this topic, which was interesting to them. Students also voiced topics that they would like to discuss in future meetings.

The guest of the meeting was a representative of the Healthy Lifestyle Center - specialist Boranbaeva A.M., who thanked the department and interns for organizing this event and also spoke about the importance of prevention and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She spoke about further cooperation and the creation of a memorandum between the Healthy Lifestyle Center in Shymkent and the “General Practitioner-2” department of SKMA.

After the end of the event, Vice-Rector for Social Work, Associate Professor of Miras University Sultanova Valida Ilashbaevna thanked the leadership of the Department of General Practice-2 and 6th year GP interns for interesting and informative presentations, from which students were able to learn a lot of new and useful information information. She also emphasized the importance of further cooperation with the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy for further education of medical topics.

As a result, the main goal of the educational work was achieved: most of the material provided was imprinted in the students’ memory, and they clearly formed an idea of HIV infection. This format of working with the population helped 6th year GP interns expand their horizons, hone their communication skills and improve their competence and professionalism. And such events are very important, because there is still stigma and unwillingness in society to talk openly about HIV/AIDS.
