Priority areas of pharmaceutical and chemical-toxicological research
The Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry took an active part in the Second Forum of Young Scientists and Students, which included the XI International Conference of Young Scientists and Students "Prospects for the Development of Biology, Medicine and Pharmacy" and the Start-Up Projects Competition.
The plenary session featured reports from senior executives from our partner universities. The use of nanotechnology in drug delivery and its effective use: biocompatibility, biodegradability and functional compatibility, advantages and disadvantages - this was discussed in the report by Professor F. Shirazi from the School of Pharmacy at the Sh. Beheshti Medical University (Tehran, Iran).
This year, the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy is actively implementing the Memorandum with the JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (Ooty, India) on the exchange of experience in scientific research. Dr. R. Shanmungam, Coordinator and Head of the TIFAC CORE Center for Herbal Medicines, College of Pharmacy, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (Ooty, India) reported on the strategies for the development and standardization of herbal preparations.
No less interesting were the works at the sectional meeting of the department "Priority areas of pharmaceutical and chemical-toxicological research", which was held in a hybrid format and brought together participants and listeners from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, India and universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan: these are students, master's students, doctoral students of the First Moscow State Medical University named after I. M. Sechenov (Moscow, Russian Federation), Medical University named after Sh. Auezov and others.
The sectional session featured reports on research into quality control and standardization of active pharmaceutical ingredients and medicinal products of natural and synthetic origin, chemical and toxicological studies, pharmaceutical ecology issues, substantiation of the design of new medicinal products, selection of internal standards for HPLC/MS/MS etc.
During the session, the moderators assessed the degree of relevance, novelty, creativity of the presentation, practical significance, proficiency and ability to present the material.
During the objective assessment and discussion of the research works of young scientists and students, the best works were noted:
