Prevention of measles
In Kazakhstan, there is an increase in measles. The Ministry of health of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports that unvaccinated children account for the majority of cases of measles. In connection with the outbreak of measles on may 14, 2019, we gave a lecture among students of 8 classes of secondary school №130. The topic of the lecture: "Profilaktika measles", the speaker assistant Professor of VOP -1 Satymbekova A.Sh. The report reflected the relevance, prevalence, routes of transmission, manifestation, complication and prevention of measles. The purpose of the event: to raise awareness about measles among students.Measles is a highly contagious (contagious) infection with airborne transmission.The disease is registered in all age categories of the population. The most common complication of measles is pneumonia.In children can manifest as false croup, stomatitis. In adults, meningitis, meningoencephalitis, polyneuritis can develop.
Susceptibility to measles is almost 100%. This applies to both children and adults. After suffering a ever the disease remains a strong immunity throughout life. The need for preventive measures in measles infection is determined by the simplicity of infection, the speed of spread in the human population and a certain probability of complications mainly in adulthood.
The most powerful, affordable and effective method of fighting infection is vaccination. This topic aroused great interest among students and active discussions. Students asked their questions and learned the answers.
