Our students in the ranks of the Sechenov University

A great honor and responsibility has dropped out on the best students of the South Ka-zakhstan state pharmaceutical academy Alibek Ayzhamal, Zhumabayev Nurdaulet, Kukanov Amirkhan, Kutybay Akmaral and Ryskul Kanagat to pass a manufacturing practice "Quality control and certification of drugs" on basis of the A. P. Arzamastsev Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological chemistry of the Sechenov University (Moscow, the Russian Federation) from 15.05.2017 to 29.05.2017.

Students interns fully completed manufacturing practice program, which includes the physical, chemical and physical-chemical methods of drug analysis: polarimetry, refractometry, speсtro-photometry in UV and visible areas of a range, titrimetry, thin layer and highly performance liq-uid chromatography, etc. A comparative analysis and validation of the quantification of drugs by methods of photocolorimetry and nitritometry has been carried out. 

The master class and practical class in definition of the dissolution test, and also com-parative kinetics of dissolution of original and generic drug with the subsequent analysis of assay by means of a spectophotometry and a high performance liquid chromatography was held on the basis of Laboratory of a Pharmacokinetics of drugs at the Department of Clinical pharmacology of Sechenov University (city hospital No. 23).

The leading teachers of department – scientists in the field of quality control of drugs gave master classes and lectures presentations on modern achievements in the field of the pharmaceutical analysis: "Residual solvents", "Biorelevant environments", "Definition of impurity in medicinal substances", "NIR spectroscopy in quality control of drugs", "Modern approaches of standardization of atypical neuroleptics", "Basic provisions and changes in XIII SPh", "Practical application of HPLC in quality control of drugs", "Validation of analytical methods", etc.

Students listened a lecture by the Director of the Education Centre for HIV infection of the Charite Clinic (Berlin, Germany), Dr. Haiko Essen, on the theme "HIV in Germany: "Epidemiological situation and care of patients". 

The manufacturing practice of quality control and certification of drugs allowed the stu-dents to deepen theoretical knowledge, to build practical skills in the field of pharmaceutical analysis of drugs using physical, chemical and physical-chemical methods.

During the manufacturing practice, the students have shown a good theoretical prepar-edness on pharmaceutical chemistry, analytical thinking, responsibility and self-discipline, have shown erudition, interest to discussed subjects and questions, the ability to think logically and draw conclusions based on the results of the performed work, as well as professional skills in carrying out practical work. Results of a manufacturing practice in the form of certification of practical skills, an oral interview and computer testing of students are estimated on "perfectly".

The cultural program was not less interesting and entertaining. The students honored the memory and laid the flowers with a monument to the great Kazakh thinker and poet Abai on Pure Ponds, visited the Kremlin, the Armouries and the A.S. Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, the P.I. Tchaikovsky Great Hall of the conservatory, satire Theatre, History Museum of Sechenov University, etc.

Students express their sincere gratitude to the Academy for the possibility and the inter-national division of the Sechenov University for the excellent conditions of the manufacturing practice in one of the prestigious world universities.
