Master class on qualitative research in Kaunas, Lithuania
The team of «SKMA» - the head of the department of «Emergency Medical Care and Nursing» Seidakhmetova A.A., assistants of the department Khodzhakulova U.A., Auezkhankyzy D., Yunusmetov E.Sh. from 13 to 17 June 2022 participated in the master class: «Advanced Qualitative Research in Nursing», which took place at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Kaunas, Lithuania. The training course is part of the AccelEd project («Improving Nursing at the Master's and PhD Doctorate Levels in the Higher Education System of Kazakhstan»).
The Erasmus+ AccelEd project is co-funded by the EU and implements innovative projects to build capacity and reform higher education. The master class was organized for the faculty, undergraduates and doctoral students of medical universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan: SKMA, KazNMU, Nazarbayev University, MUA, MUK.
The purpose of the master class is to focus on the knowledge and skills needed to conduct high-quality research projects and analyze the results of high-quality research.
During the master class, participants worked individually and in a group, analyzed qualitative data, formulated qualitative research questions depending on the type of qualitative or quantitative research. Participants expanded and deepened their knowledge of qualitative research methodology, using a combination of didactic, interactive and applied methods to teach skills.
