MAGZHAN SHAMIYEV, A CANDIDATE FOR MASTER’S DEGREE OF SKSPHA RETURNED FROM THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN BULGARIA WITH SILVER MEDAL
Recently Magzhan Shamiyev, a candidate for master’s degree of South - Kazakhstan State Pharmaceutical Academy, an international master of sports, returned from Bulgaria where was held the championship in arm wrestling. He won the silver medal in Blagoevgrad. Our decorated sportsman has medals from the World Cups, the World Championships of Europe, Asia. Overall, the 2016 World Cup in Bulgaria brought together the representatives of 56 countries of the world, the last ones who arrived at this championship, were the sportsmen from the United Arab Emirates, Nepal, Ghana and some African countries.
Magzhan Shamiyev is a graduate of Shardara arm wrestling school, known for many years in many countries around the world. He began to go on for sports when he was a child; this arm wrestling school was headed by a senior coach Arman Romanuly Karsybayev. Today A.R. Karsybayev headed Shardara regional department of physical culture and sports. In October Arman Romanuly together with a coach Seyfulla Nurkhalikov chose 10 students from Shardara using a rigorous recruitment and selection process; besides, these students won 5 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals in Bulgaria. The honor of Kazakhstan was defended by 70 sportsmen. In general, Kazakhstan won 20 gold, 17 silver and 8 bronze medals. Besides, Magzhan won two silver medals at the tournament. And he is very proud of it.
As Magzhan told, in the weight category up to 75 kilograms there were involved 32 sportsmen. And they were all worthy adversaries. To break into the semifinal, he had to fight with a 4-time world champion Janis Amolins from Lithuania, then, with the current European champion David Samushia from Georgia. At the finals (you even can not imagine, dear readers, but it is a rare occurrence in such championships), Shymbolat Raykhanov from Shardara became his opponent. Magzhan let win the 25-years-old Shymbolat and he did not regret. “It sounded the national anthem of Kazakhstan - and this explains everything”, - said firmly Magzhan during a conversation, looking at his watch. In the evening he went to the training camp in Shardara to set out at the World Cup “Golden Tour” in Rumia (Poland) in mid-November. By the way, the fights will be televised on TV channels of Kazakhstan “Kazsport” and “Fighter”.
We, in turn, wished Magzhan success and promised that we will watch the sporting events in Poland.
