Joint responsibility of universities and employers in the training of pharmaceutical personnel

On January 18, 2019, South Kazakhstan Medical Academy held a round table on the topic: “Joint responsibility of universities and employers in the training of pharmaceutical personnel”. It has been organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy with the participation of the Academy management team.

The event consisted of two parts. In the first part, the rector of JSC "SKMA" Myrzabek Myrzashevich Rysbekov gave with a welcoming speech, where he noted the importance of the role of employers in the process of developing students' professional competencies. Consequently, Academy signed a memorandum with the Association of Pharmaceutical and Medical Organizations of the South Kazakhstan Oblast “DAMU”.

The second part included a round table meeting itself. The attendees of the event were representatives of the following organizations: LLP SPA "Zerde", LLP «Europharma», LLP "Abu Akbar", LLP "Aris", LLP "Recept”, “CFE MJ RK branch in Shymkent, JSC" Himfarm ", LLP" Bastau farm " , “Orken” LLP, “Zadapharm” LLP, “Nur-tore” LLP, “Murat-pharm” LLP, “Chamber of Entrepreneurs”, “EcoPharm International” LLP, SMGE Shymkent Higher Medical College, IE “Vakhapova” in Turkestan, SK Pharmacy, "Zhanga shipa", LLP "YugMedFarm", LLC "Pharmacy 120/80", LLP "TIN", "The regional center of hyperbaric oxygenation named after T.Orynbayev".

During the meeting the sides discussed the ways of improving the educational program for graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy for professional life.

In conclusion, it has been decided:

1. To improve the joint implementation of activities and areas of cooperation between “South Kazakhstan Medical Academy” JSC and the Association of Pharmaceutical and Medical Organizations of the Southern Kazakhstan Oblast DAMU, provided in by the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the parties on January 18, 2019. 

2. Taking into account the urgent and problematic issues of employment of graduates of JSC "UKMA", openly discuss possible solutions to their effective employment. 

3. To introduce proposals from representatives of pharmaceutical organizations into educational programs (in the study of disciplines) aiming to form and develop competencies of graduates of SKMA and develop effective and demanded by the professional community educational programs of specialties “Pharmacy” and “Technology of Pharmaceutical Production” 

4. To ensure effective interaction of production bases with the departments of JSC “SKMA” during conducting educational and industrial practice for students of the specialties “Pharmacy” and “Technology of pharmaceutical production”, in order to improve the quality of practice, consolidate and develop the skills of students, determine the requirements for practice and harmonize programs practice.

5. To consider the possibility of developing joint research projects of practical interest in order to educate and scientifically integrate the labor market and pre- and postgraduate education, implemented in JSC “SKMA”, and increase the motivation of students to conduct research,.

С участием работодателей выпускающим кафедрам разработать предложения по формированию тем дипломных работ по актуальным направлениям развития современной фармации и фармацевтического производства.

6. To develop proposals with the participation of employers and departments for the formation of the thesis on current areas of development of modern pharmacy and pharmaceutical production.
