International Сongress on «Pharmacy Updates 2019»

At the invitation of the President of the Research Center of Pharmacy (RCF) of the Medical University. Sh. Beheshti (MU, Tehran, Iran) of Professor F. Shirazi took part in the International Congress “Pharmacy Updates 2019” of Professor Ordabayeva S.K. and doctoral student Orynbassarov Ye.K.

More than 3000 participants took part in the Congress, including representatives of pharmaceutical industries, companies, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical science and education. The work of the Congress was held in 5 sections in the period from 06.02. on 08.02.2019. Significant was the video message by the President of FIP D. Jordan, which highly noted the level of the Iranian pharmaceutical industry at the present stage.

Great interest was aroused by the participants of the Congress report Ordabayeva S.K. on the experience of introducing educational programs in the specialty “Pharmacy” in SKMA. No less interesting were the reports on the results of the research work of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry in the field of development and standardization of medicines (Ordabayeva S.K.) and chemical-toxicological studies (Orynbassarov Ye.K).

During the Congress, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation between SKMA and RCF was held. For the first time, the Regional Student Forum was created, consisting of the participants of the Congress - young scientists and students of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Iraq.

For the participants of the Congress, a visit to the School of Pharmacy MU them. S. Beheshti, as well as the Faculty of Pharmacy Tehran University of Medical Sciences. The high level of the material base, features of educational programs and the range of scientific interests of the bases visited left indelible impressions on the delegates. Also, an excursion was organized to one of the major pharmaceutical manufacturers of Iran – the biotechnology company «CinnaGen», operating in accordance with the rules of GMP.

During the Congress, issues of international cooperation were also discussed with the Research Center of Pharmacy of the Medical University. Sh. Beheshty in the person of Professor F. Shirazi in the framework of educational programs and research works.
