Forum “Stop drug addiction and gambling addiction”

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the third session of the National Congress entitled “Honest man - honest work - honest income” called on the entire country to fight the five evils that threaten society and stop them forever. Speaking about two of them - drug addiction and gambling addiction, he emphasized the need to tighten as much as possible the punishment of persons producing narcotic substances, equating it to the most serious crimes.
Stating that gambling addiction is a threat that is destroying the peace of the country on a peaceful day, he said that a comprehensive plan has been adopted to combat drug addiction and drug trafficking, the government should adopt the same plan to combat gambling addiction and gambling should be legally restricted.
When organized by the youth wing of “Zhastar Ruhi” under the party “AMANAT”, a forum “Stop drug addiction and gambling addiction” was held.
The forum was attended by senior lecturer of the department “History of Kazakhstan and social disciplines” Ibraimova A.Zh. and 1st year students of the educational program “Dentistry”. The purpose of the forum is the prevention of drug addiction and gambling addiction among young people.
During the event, current topics were discussed about drug addiction and gambling addiction, the negative impact of online games on the lives of young people, and the consequences of getting into debt for gambling. It was discussed: what Gambling Mania is and the stages of its development, as well as from what moment addiction arises and what symptoms a person with gambling addiction exhibits.
At the end of the forum, students shared their impressions of the information received and told what conclusions they had drawn for themselves, and received answers to all their questions on this topic.
