December 16 – Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On December 13, 2024, the Department of Medical Biophysics and Information Technologies held an educational session for foreign students of the groups MШАБ-11-24 and MШАБ-12-24 on the topic "December 16 – Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan." During the session, the significance of Independence Day, the historical events leading to Kazakhstan's independence, as well as the history of Kazakhstan's development from 1920 to 1936, starting from the Soviet period, were discussed.
Additionally, the events of December 1986 were mentioned, when the youth of Almaty protested against the policies of the Soviet Union, demanding their national rights and freedoms. This was the first major step towards Kazakhstan's independence.
On December 16, 1991, the Republic of Kazakhstan declared its state independence, marking an important moment in the country's history when Kazakhstan emerged as an independent state on the international stage.
This educational session contributed to the establishment of friendship and mutual understanding among foreign students, providing them with extensive information about Kazakhstan's history and culture, and increasing their respect for the country. We are confident that such events play a significant role in promoting the culture and values of Kazakhstan worldwide.
