Conference in the National Center of Phthisiopulmonology

April 26-27, 2018 in Almaty was an international scientific and practical conference on the topic: "New approaches to the elimination of the epidemic of tuberculosis", dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the National Scientific Center of Phthisiopulmonology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At this conference Io. Associate Professor of the Department of Therapeutic Disciplines of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy Kasaeva L.T.

At the conference, the problems of TB epidemiological situation in the world, the WHO TB strategy "End TB", "The time to act quickly and efficiently" - to Kazakhstan without tuberculosis; experience of introduction of new anti-TB drugs in the End TB project, new opportunities in diagnostics of TB and M / XDR TB in the world; advantage of outpatient treatment; patient oriented approach; infection control as an important component of the End TB strategy, control of TB in the penitentiary system. At the same time, the work in the group was devoted to the reform of the TB service in accordance with the WHO strategy "Eliminate tuberculosis"; including the reform of the financial mechanism, the revision of the regulatory framework and the strengthening of human resources; ensuring accessibility of accelerated methods for diagnosing TB and MDR-TB; interaction of specialized and PHC laboratory services in the diagnosis of TB and MDR / TB, quality management system for laboratory research; new approaches to M / XDR-TB, expansion of outpatient treatment of tuberculosis with a patient-centered approach; infectious control at the stages of outpatient care. 

L. Kasaeva presented a poster report on the topic: "Tuberculosis among mentally ill SKO" and took the 2 nd place.
