ABOUT THE WORK OF THE SECTION "NATURAL MEDICINES AND THEIR APPLICATION PROSPECTS"

On December 10-11, 2020, the VII international scientific conference of young scientists and students "Prospects for the development of biology, medicine and pharmacy" was held online at the South Kazakhstan medical Academy. The conference is organized by the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation and the South Kazakhstan medical Academy. The conference aroused great interest in universities and higher educational institutions of the CIS and foreign countries.

Employees of the Department of pharmacognosy organized a breakout session "Natural medicines and prospects for their use".The conference was attended by young scientists from universities of the Republic of and partners – Pyatigorsk medical and pharmaceutical Institute (Pyatigorsk, Russia), Bashkir state medical University (Ufa, Russia), Tashkent pharmaceutical Institute (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), national pharmaceutical University (Kharkiv, Ukraine), Кursk state medical University (Kursk, Russia), Novosibirsk state medical University (Novosibirsk, Russia), Kyrgyz state medical Academy named after I. K. Аkhunbayev (Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic), Medical Academy named after S. I. Georgievsky Crimean Federal University named after V. I. Vernadsky (Simferopol, Russia) etc.

Students of the scientific circle of the Department "Phytochemist", undergraduates, doctoral students and postgraduates from partner universities on topical issues of pharmaceutical science spoke at the breakout session.

The reports were accompanied by a heated discussion, each speaker presented the results of research work at a high level.

Those present at the section showed a high interest in the reports, which was evident from the large number of questions asked in the discussion.

As a result of the conference, all participants were awarded certificates in an online format.

The following winners of the youth competition among students, undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral students were awarded honorary diplomas and memorable gifts:

1) The best work of young scientists-Anna Krymova, post-graduate student of the Pyatigorsk medical and pharmaceutical Institute-branch of the Volga state medical University, Pyatigorsk, Russian Federation.

2) The best work of the student-Diana Shaltayeva, 2nd year student of the pharmaceutical faculty of the South Kazakhstan medical Academy.

The conference participants thanked the organizers for the excellent organization and the opportunity to communicate and exchange views.
