A seminar on biostatistics was held at the Academy

The Department of Project Management and Commercialization organized a seminar entitled "Biostatistics in the career of a young scientist", which was held on February 16 in the main building of South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. The event started with a welcoming speech of Marlen Yessirkepov, PhD, Professor, First Vice-Rector of SKMA. The seminar program was presented by Dana Bekaryssova, Head of Project Management and Commercialization Department.
Then the following speakers spoke at the seminar: Armen Gasparyan, PhD, Associate Professor of Research and Development Department, University of Birmingham, Dudley, UK; Zhanat Abdikadyr, Head of the Department of "Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Information Technology" Astana Medical University; Marina Ivanova, PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of "Medbiophysics and Information Technologies, South Kazakhstan Medical Academy.
During the event were covered such relevant topics as research sampling, statistical analysis of data by the example of using SPSS program, graphical representation of medical data and others. The seminar ended with a Q&A session.
