THE WORK OF THE SECTION "NATURAL MEDICINES AND PROSPECTS FOR THEIR USE" AT THE X INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

From December 6 to 8, 2023, the first international forum of young scientists and students took place within the walls of JSC SKMA. The Forum of Young Scientists is a communication platform aimed at sharing knowledge, skills, and experience between researchers, scientists, and students from different countries.
The main purpose of the Forum is to establish a platform for the exchange of scientific achievements of young scientists from around the world, discuss the most pressing issues of concern to young researchers, and promote the dissemination of scientific knowledge among young people.
On December 6, 2023, within the framework of the first international forum of young students and students, a competition of scientific projects was held. All 18 documents were presented. 5 scientific projects were presented from the Department of Pharmacognosy: Doctoral student for 3 academic years under the educational program «Pharmacy»- Karzhaubayeva Aishabibi Duisenbekovna, on the topic «Comparative pharmacognostic studies of plants of the genus Saussurea L. and prospects of their use»; Master's student of the 2nd academic year-Abilova Ardak Armankyzy, on the topic: «Pharmacognostic analysis of culturally grown fenugreek seeds in the Turkestan region»; Master's student of the 1st academic year - Alena Rybakova, on the topic «Phytochemical study and standardization of the genus Euphrasia pectinata»; also, students of the 3rd year of the educational program «Pharmacy» - Kerimkul Zhansaya Aitbekkyzy, «Pharmacognostic and phytochemical analysis of a common spray plant used in folk medicine growing in the flora of South Kazakhstan» and Baimyrzayeva Aigerim Galymovna, «Pharmacognostic and phytochemical analysis of the plant Ziziphora bungeana » made reports on the project.

On December 7-8, 2023, the X International scientific conference of young scientists and students "Prospects for the development of biology, medicine and Pharmacy" was held in offline and online formats at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. The conference is organized by the Council for Science at the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation and the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. The conference gathered a large number of positive reviews from universities and higher educational institutions in the CIS and neighboring countries.

At the plenary session, the chairman of the cyclic methodological Commission of Pharmaceutical Disciplines, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Pharmacognosy with a course in botany and fundamentals of Phytotherapy of the Bashkir State Medical University, Kira Alexandrovna Pupykina, spoke on the topic "The main directions of educational and scientific activities of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Bashkir State Medical University". At the end of her performance, the participant was awarded a diploma and a commemorative present from the organizers.

Employees of the department of Pharmacognosy conducted the work of the sectional meeting "Natural medicines and prospects for their use". The section received 84 scientific articles and abstracts from leading universities: Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

The conference was attended by young scientists from different countries who are interested in science and express great hopes. These are young scientists from universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and our partner universities - Pyatigorsk Medical and Pharmaceutical Institute (Pyatigorsk, Russia), Bashkir State Medical University (Ufa, Russia), Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina (Bukhara, Uzbekistan),Novosibirsk State Medical University (Novosibirsk, Russia), Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbayeva (Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic), Osh State University Faculty of Medicine Specialty Pharmacy (Osh, Kyrgyz Republic), I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (Moscow, Russian Federation), A.P. Nelyubin Institute of Pharmacy (Moscow, Russian Federation), Kursk State Medical University (MoscowKursk, Russia), National Pharmaceutical University (Kharkiv, Ukraine), Opole University (Opole, Poland), "All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants"(Moscow Moscow, Russia), Pharmaceutical Institute of Education and Research (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), Tajik National University (Dushanbe, Tajikistan), etc.

The breakout session was attended by students of the scientific circle of the department "Phytochemist", undergraduates, doctoral students and postgraduates from partner universities on topical issues of pharmaceutical science. Also, project-oriented students published articles on their projects and made presentations at the breakout session.

The reports of students, young scientists and foreign postgraduates were made at a high level. The content of their report on the topics was so interesting and comprehensive that it caused a heated discussion among the audience. High-level speakers, presenting the results of research work, answered all the questions raised, touching upon important issues and complex problems in the field of modern pharmacy. Students and postgraduates of foreign partner universities made high-level presentations in an online format. They managed to establish high-quality relationships with the audience.

Also, as a guest in other regions and countries, students of the Marat Ospanov West Kazakhstan Medical University, Karaganda Medical University and Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute made high-level presentations on their project work, whose scientific work aroused the interest of the chairmen and listeners at the breakout session.

Following the results of the conference, all participants of the conference were awarded certificates.
