     The quality of higher education in the Republic of Kazakhstan is given a lot of attention and it must meet the highest international standards. One of the effective’s mechanisms for achieving this quality is the ratings of leading universities, which perform several important functions, one of which is a guide for applicants, parents, and employers.

     The South Kazakhstan Medical Academy annually takes part in the ratings.

     According to the results of the current rating conducted by the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR), SKMA holds the following positions:

     In the General ranking of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan "top-20" SKMA is in 17th place.

     In the Institutional Rating of Universities in areas of educational programs bachelor’s programme SKMA in 4th place.

     In the Institutional ranking of universities in the areas of educational programs of the master's programme SKMA in 1st place.

     In the ranking of universities by groups of educational programs in accordance with the levels and areas of training:

Bachelor’s programme:

B084 Nursing - 2nd place;

B085 Pharmacy - 2nd place;

B089 Public Health - 2nd place.

Master’s programme:

M144 Medicine - 1st place;

M142 Pharmacy - 1st place.
