Review on the topic: «Historical sites, mausoleums, monuments of our region. Religious monuments, works of art (Domalak ana, Arystanbab, etc.). Sacred places of Southern Kazakhstan»
The students' excursion to the Koshkar-Ata River and the Koshkar-Ata mausoleum was a great opportunity not only to learn the history of this monument of Kazakh culture, but also to touch the spiritual roots of the people.
In 2010, the river received the status of a protected natural area of local importance. Surprisingly, the water temperature remains exactly the same here at all times of the year and is +11 degrees. The composition of water contains elements such as fluorine, calcium, and magnesium. In this regard, the waters of the Koshkar-Ata river have healing properties. That's why many people go there for healing water and swim all year round. This spring river, which has left its mark in history as an important waterway supporting the life and economy of the region, has become a landmark of the city of Shymkent, the cleanest and coolest source of water.
Koshkar-Ata is a mausoleum erected in honor of the legendary Kazakh Sufi Koshkar-Ata, who was a student of the thinker and poet Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. The people revered him as a saint who possessed miraculous healing abilities and even understood the language of animals.Visiting the mausoleum and the Koshkar-Ata River became a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Kazakh spiritual tradition and the historical heritage of the country.
The students noted that the excursion is very useful and has a great impact on expanding their worldview, as well as on deepening knowledge about nature, culture and history of their native land.
