POST-RELEASE about the event held by the «General Practitioner Department» within the framework of the Healthy Lifestyle project
On December 19, 2024, 7th-year interns of the general practitioner group I-ZhTDK-06-23, headed by Master of Medical Sciences R.A. Smetova, within the framework of the scientific project “Healthy University, Healthy City, Healthy Region”, held a preventive and educational event for schoolchildren of grades 9-10 at the comprehensive school “Khanaryk” in the Tolebi district of the Turkestan region.
At the beginning of the event, the group leader, R.A. Smetova, spoke and talked about the importance of holding this event to form in teenagers a stable knowledge about a healthy lifestyle, prevention of bad habits and strengthening of moral and ethical values.
As part of this event, aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, the participating GP interns conveyed important information to the students of this school in the most accessible way. The topics covered during the meeting were devoted to current problems of modern society: "Early pregnancy", "Violence in society", and "Drug addiction and its impact on life".
The GP interns discussed the causes and consequences of early pregnancy, including the impact on the health of the mother and child, and discussed the importance of a conscious approach to attitude and knowledge of the basics of reproductive health.
The lecture on violence in society was aimed by the interns of the VOP at explaining the essence of violence, its forms and consequences. Particular attention was paid to the psychological and social aspects of the problem, ways to prevent aggression among teenagers, and methods of seeking help in case of encountering violence were discussed.
During the lecture "Drug Addiction and Its Impact on Life", the interns of the VOP spoke in detail about the harmful effects of drug use on physical and mental health, as well as ways to avoid addiction. In addition, the interns emphasized the importance of prevention and an active life position.
All lecture topics aroused keen interest among schoolchildren. And to create a friendly atmosphere, the interns of the VOP organized several interactive games and quizzes between lectures. These games contributed to increasing the involvement of schoolchildren, consolidating the knowledge gained in lectures, and developing teamwork skills.
Games and quizzes were aimed at reinforcing the material on the topic of a healthy lifestyle and aroused great interest among schoolchildren. Schoolchildren showed high interest and involvement, asked questions and actively participated in the games. The winners received symbolic prizes and memorable souvenirs.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the comprehensive school - the school principal and the deputy principal for educational work expressed gratitude to the interns and the group leader for organizing and holding this event. The group leader was presented with a letter of thanks, and the interns of the comprehensive school received certificates for their contribution to educational work.
As a result, the main goal of the educational work was achieved: most of the material presented by the GP interns was imprinted in the memory of the schoolchildren, and they clearly formed an idea of the importance of a healthy lifestyle. For the GP interns, this format of work allowed them to expand and hone their communication skills and competence.
