On the organization of the international scientific and practical conference

«Innovations and business in interdisciplinary medicine: science and practice», 6th November and «Interdisciplinary neurology», 7-8th November 2024

The conference will feature leading scientists and specialists in the field of neuroscience, including neurologists, neurogeneticists, neurosurgeons, rehabilitation specialists, neurophysiologists, and general practitioners from Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, France, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. Over the course of three days – November 6-8, 2024 – issues related to the pathogenesis, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, and treatment of neurological diseases will be discussed. The conference holds significant informational and educational value and contributes to improving the quality of medical care for patients with nervous system disorders. According to the Chief freelance neurologist of the health Department of Turkestan Region, head of the Department of neurology, psychiatry, rehabilitation, and neurosurgery at the South Kazakhstan medical academy, c.m.s., professor N.A. Zharkinbekova, it has already become a tradition in Shymkent to hold an international conference that brings together neurologists from the scientific community of both neighboring and distant countries.

The opening of the international scientific and practical conference «Innovations and business in interdisciplinary medicine: science and practice» will take place at 08:30 on November 6, 2024, at the «Rixos» hotel.

The second day of the plenary Session of the international scientific and practical conference «Modern aspects of interdisciplinary neurology» will be dedicated to the Department of Neurology, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, and Neurosurgery of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary since its establishment in 1984. The Department of neurology was headed by doctor of medical sciences, professor G.A. Dushchanova (1994–2018). Over the decades, the name of the department has changed. Since June 1, 2018, and up to the present time, the Department has been led by PhD, professor, and chief freelance neurologist of the Health Department of Turkestan Region N.A. Zharkinbekova.

During the anniversary events and presentations dedicated to this significant milestone in the development of one of the leading departments of the South Kazakhstan medical academy, as part of the advancement of international scientific cooperation with leading universities in Kazakhstan and abroad, the following speakers will share their achievements and experiences: doctor of medical sciences, professor of the Departments of neurology at MKTU and South Kazakhstan medical academy, G.A. Dushchanova, Chief freelance neurologist of the Health Department of Turkestan Region, head of the Department of neurology, psychiatry, rehabilitation, and neurosurgery at the South Kazakhstan medical academy, PhD, professor N.A. Zharkinbekova.

Over the years, the staff of the department has made an invaluable contribution to the development of the neurological service not only in Turkestan Region but also in Kazakhstan. Today, the department has ambitious plans – to elevate all areas of neurology, including stroke care, rehabilitation, orphan diseases, as well as to focus on laboratory research of rare diseases, their diagnosis and treatment, and strengthen international cooperation with scientists from the United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, France, Russia, Turkey, Germany, Estonia, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

The third day of the international conference will be dedicated to orphan diseases that affect the nervous, respiratory, muscular, cardiovascular, urinary, gastrointestinal systems, organs of vision, joints, skin, blood, and lead to multisystem involvement, which is impossible to completely eliminate. The «Selected issues in epilepsy» section will also feature the renowned scientist and neurologist, chairman of the Canadian Association for evidence-based medicine, Oleg Ivanovich Vinogradov. The international guest will conduct a master class for practicing physicians participating in the international scientific and practical conference

As part of the section, a meeting of the Republican coordination council on stroke issues will also take place. During this session, the implementation of the «Roadmap» and the indicators of stroke services will be discussed by the heads of stroke units from all regions of Kazakhstan. The meeting will be chaired by Erzhan Boranbayevich Adilbekov – chairman of the Public Association «Kazakh league of stroke specialists», MD, MBA, PhD, Deputy chairman of the board of the State Enterprise «National coordination center for emergency medicine» for Medical affairs, Astana, Kazakhstan.

The presentations will be interesting not only in the sections, where scientists and leading specialists from Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, France, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan share their rich experience, but also in the symposia such as «Neurodegenerative diseases of the nervous system: achievements, problems, and perspectives», which will be moderated by Rauan Bogdanovich Kaiyrzhanov, Zhibek Allilulavna Zholdasova, and Chingiz Sakaevich Shashkin. Other symposia include «Current issues in pediatric neurology» and «Autoimmune and demyelinating diseases of the CNS».

The «Young Scientists' Competition», which will take place as the final event of the conference in both online and offline formats, will provide an opportunity for the discussion of research projects by master's students, medical interns, doctoral candidates, and their academic supervisors from universities in both distant and neighboring countries.

 

The conference will conclude with a summary of the work and the presentation of diplomas to the best young scientists and certificates.
