CONSTRUCTION OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES IN THE PROCESS OF INDUSTRIAL PRACTICE

Students of the 4th year of the educational program 6B10106 “Pharmacy” completed industrial practice in Quality control and standardization of medicines at the RSE “National center for expertise of medicines and medical devices” in the city of Taraz.

Using modern high-tech equipment, students performed physical, chemical and physicochemical analysis of medicines in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documents of the Eurasian economic union and the State Pharmacopoeia of the republic of Kazakhstan, international, interstate and national rules, directives and norms establishing requirements in the field of healthcare and in the field of circulation of medicines funds.

Students analyzed drugs using modern ultra-precise equipment: pH meter PP 50 "Sartorius", IR spectrometer with Fourier converter Nicolet 380 "Thermo Ficher Scientific", equipment for thin layer chromatography Cammag, a device for determining the melting point, a circular polarimeter SM-3, a laboratory binocular microscope with an Axiostar Plus micro-eyepiece, a “UV-Vis Evolution 300” spectrophotometer, a high-performance liquid chromatograph from “Agilent technologies”, etc. Students got acquainted with the microbiological control system for drugs and the activities of the toxicology department, etc.

Students fully completed the industrial practice program. At the same time, they complied with the internal labor regulations in force at the enterprise, labor protection standards and fire safety rules, filled out electronic diaries on production practice during the industrial practice and compiled reports on the results of the industrial practice.
As a result, the practice allowed students to develop general and professional competencies in the field of quality control of medicines, as well as communication skills of working in a team.

Students visited local attractions and got acquainted with the city’s historical museums. Visited an architectural monument of the 11th - 12th centuries, the mausoleum of Aisha bibi and the mausoleum of her nanny Babaja-Khatun, currently the architectural monument is protected on the basis of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the protection of objects of historical and cultural heritage”. In addition, students got acquainted with the historical complex "Tekturmas", which passes through the Talas river, as well as one of the main objects erected in the historical and ethnocultural complex "Kone-Taraz" "museum of local lore", the "Victory" and "First president" park and etc.
