Meeting on «Prevention of destructive religious movements»
On February 16, 2024, a meeting with students on the topic "Prevention of destructive religious movements", organized by the Department of Social Affairs and Youth Policy and the KSU "Center for the Study of Religious Issues" was held in the large conference hall of the SKMA.
The meeting was attended by: Head of the Department of outreach work and work with youth NEET KSU "Youth Resource Center" of the Department of Internal Policy and Youth Affairs of Shymkent city Kypshakbaev Rauan Mukhituly, Tilyabek Sayan Adnabekovich Tilyabek Sayan Adnabekovich, head of the department of organization and coordination of outreach work of KSU "Center for Study of Religious Issues" of the Department of Religious Affairs of Shymkent city, Head of the department of organization of outreach work of KSU "Kogamdyk Kelisim" department of internal policy and youth affairs of Shymkent city Abdikarim Nurjan Kenesovich Abdikarim.
SKMA Youth Policy staff and students also participated in the event.

Tilyabek Sayan Adnabekovich Tilyabek Sayan Adnabekovich, head of the department of organization and coordination of outreach work of KSU "Center for the Study of Religious Issues" of the Department of Religious Affairs of Shymkent city, was also a guest of the meeting. He elaborated on the methods of prevention of destructive religious movements and spoke about psychological methods of counteracting them.
Social media noted that information in the field of religion should be obtained from religious scholars, imams of mosques, and industry experts.
Summarizing the results of the event, the theologian specialist of KSU "Center for the Study of Religious Problems" of the Department of Religious Affairs of Shymkent urged students to avoid destructive religious movements and to get knowledge only from verified sources, on state websites.
