May 31 – Day of Remembrance for Victims of Political Repression and Famine

On May 31, 2024, students and teachers of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences visited the museum of victims of political repression. Purpose of the visit: to get acquainted with the history of victims of political repression, view the museum’s exhibitions and collect information necessary for use in the educational process. Museum staff gave a tour of the museum's various exhibits. During the excursion the following topics were covered: the main events of the period of political repression. Life and fate of victims of repression. Biographies of famous repressed figures. This event allowed students and teachers of SKMA to gain a deeper understanding of the period of political repression and collect new data necessary for the educational process.
