Ludomania is an urgent problem of society

Russian language course of the Department of Kazakh, Latin and Russian languages held a meeting with leading theologians of the KGU "Center for the Study of Religious Issues" of the Department of Religious Affairs of Shymkent Bekeulov Serik Madikhanovich, Rahimzhan Abduvakhuly, with district inspectors of the Al-Farabi district police Department of Shymkent, police Captain Bauyrzhan Appazovich Adilbaev, Major Nurmakhanova Aliya on April 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with 1st year students on the topic "Prevention of ludomania".
In his speech, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted: "In recent years, gambling addiction has been observed in the country. For some families, this has become a big disaster. Special attention in the fight against ludomania should be paid to educational work and explanatory work."
Changed destinies, destroyed families are the result of social diseases that want to take deep root in our society.
The students learned a lot about the problems in society related to gambling addiction and ludomania. Summing up the event, the staff of the department thanked the theologians and police officers who spoke, as well as active students who took part and prepared a poster for the topic of the day.
