At the initiative of the teaching staff of the Department of Family Medicine and under the supervision of Department Assistant Dildora Damirovna Yeshimbetova, medical interns from groups ІТҚ-10-26 and ІТО-13-26 conducted an awareness-raising session for students of Secondary School No. 29 named after A. Moldagulova. The event aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle and inform students about the harmful effects of drugs, electronic cigarettes, and tobacco products.
During the event, it was emphasized that human life and health are the most important values. The students were informed that drug use causes serious damage to the nervous system, heart, liver, and other organs. It was explained that drug addiction affects a person’s mental health and has a negative impact on education, family relationships, and future prospects. The students were reminded of the importance of confidently saying “no” to harmful offers and seeking help from trusted adults in difficult situations.
The students were also informed that electronic cigarettes are not safe. The nicotine they contain causes addiction and negatively affects the development of adolescents’ brains and nervous systems, as well as their respiratory and cardiovascular systems. It was explained that e-cigarette aerosol may contain chemical substances that are harmful to the human body.
The students were told that quitting smoking helps improve health, makes breathing easier, increases physical and mental performance, and prevents various diseases. To overcome this harmful habit, they were advised to make a firm decision, avoid environments and situations that encourage smoking, engage in sports, and seek support from healthcare professionals and psychologists.

The event was conducted in a question-and-answer and open-discussion format. As a result, the students expanded their knowledge of the harmful effects of drugs, tobacco products, and electronic cigarettes and understood the importance of taking responsibility for their health and future.
