"HIV/AIDS PREVENTION AND YOUTH INVOLVEMENT IN SPORTS"

On September 26, 2023 a meeting on "HIV/AIDS prevention and involvement of youth in sport" organized by the Department of Social Affairs and Youth Policy and the Department of History of Kazakhstan and social disciplines was held in the large auditorium of the SKMA.
The meeting was attended by Meruert Salimbekovna Odaman, a psychiatrist-drug addiction specialist of the Mental Health Center of Shymkent. Shymkent Odaman Meruert Salimbekovna, senior operative commissioner for special important cases of the Department of counteraction to drug crime of the Police Department of Shymkent, Major of Police Karbekov Bauyrzhan Kanatovich, athlete of the School of Sportsmanship №3 of Shymkent, champion of Kazakhstan on pencak silat Podolyanov Nikita, coach of the School of Sportsmanship on pencak silat Sadykov Bakhtiyar and employees of the Department of Youth Policy attended the meeting.
The specialists who came to the meeting spoke in detail about the ways and important signs of HIV/AIDS and drug and alcohol abuse prevention among the population. Students received answers to topical questions and familiarized themselves with new data.
Summarizing the event, champion of Kazakhstan on penchak silat Podolyanov Nikita urged students to avoid bad habits and engage in sports.
