On November 5, 2026, the Psychological Support Department, in cooperation with the Department of Doctoral and Master’s Studies, organized a seminar and training session entitled “Emotions, Stress, and Self-Control” for master’s and doctoral students.
During the seminar, participants learned about the role of emotions in human life, the causes of stress, and its impact on psychological and physical well-being. The students also learned about the importance of recognizing their emotions and managing them effectively.
During the interactive part of the session, participants were introduced to practical methods for remaining calm in stressful situations, reducing anxiety, and developing self-control. They practised breathing exercises, concentration techniques, and methods for redirecting negative thoughts towards a more positive outlook.
Through the training exercises, participants improved their ability to express their emotional states openly, make appropriate decisions in difficult situations, and maintain inner balance. Information was also provided about the individual counselling services available through the Psychological Support Department.
The event contributed to improving the students’ emotional literacy, helping them cope with stress effectively, and strengthening their self-control skills. At the end of the meeting, the participants shared their impressions and received useful psychological recommendations that can be applied in everyday life.
