Educational journey «The Heritage of the Great Steppe»

On October 28, 2026, A. S. Zhakipova, senior lecturer at the Department of Kazakh, Russian, and Latin Languages, together with a group of mentors, visited the ethno‑village “Shymkala” as part of the educational event “The Heritage of the Great Steppe”, where she learned about the history of our city and its historical relics. Shymkent is the only city in Kazakhstan that has preserved its historical core. In the Middle Ages, the city was the most important branch of the Silk Road. The museum specialist provided museum visitors with a wealth of information from the depths of history. The history of the citadel and the exhibits within it were of interest to every visitor. During the journey, the students shared their profound knowledge and interesting impressions.
