City seminar on epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of measles

On September 15, 23, the City Infectious Diseases Hospital hosted a seminar on epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of measles, organized by the Department of Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenerology of the UCMA. This seminar was held according to the plan of joint activities of the department and the clinical base, the Health Department of Shymkent city to prevent the spread of measles. The number of measles cases in the city has reached 1,747, 1,138 have been confirmed in the laboratory, and there is a steady increase. Severe and complicated forms of the disease are more often registered, especially in children under 1 year old, in pregnant women.

3. Anti-epidemic measures in measles foci. Immunoprophylaxis of measles. Beisetaeva B.A., assistant of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenerology of the UCMA, an infectious disease specialist of the highest category.
70 Shymkent doctors took part in the seminar: infectious disease specialists, measles specialists, deputy chief physicians, hospital epidemiologists of hospitals and polyclinics of the city.
