A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with the Scientific Center of Urology

South Kazakhstan Medical Academy signs a Memorandum of Cooperation with the B.U. Dzharbussynov Scientific Center of Urology

On the instruction of Rector Zhanna Seitzhanova, aimed at expanding ties with scientific and national centers, JSC "South Kazakhstan Medical Academy" signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with JSC "Scientific Center of Urology named after Academician B.U. Dzharbussynov".

The memorandum was signed at the 5th Central Asian Congress of Urologists (CACU26). The Congress took place on October 22–23, 2026, in Almaty, at the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It was opened by Anuar Amanov, Chairman of the Board of the Scientific Center of Urology, President of CACU and Chairman of KAUA. Lyazzat Zhanteliyeva, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Science and Postgraduate Education at the Scientific Center of Urology, also took part in the signing.

The Congress brought together leading urologists from Kazakhstan, Austria, Türkiye, Germany, Greece, the UAE, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Sweden and France. The scientific program covered uro-oncology, endourology and urolithiasis, andrology, male infertility and the use of artificial intelligence in medicine. The second day featured a European School of Urology (ESU) course, "Urolithiasis: Diagnosis and Modern Treatment", and an EAU UroEvidenceHub session on working with real-world clinical data.

The memorandum focuses on jointly training research and medical staff through doctoral and residency programs. It also covers sharing experience, taking part in joint research projects and developing the clinical training base for students. Working with the country's leading urology center will give SKMA's doctoral students and residents new opportunities for research and practice in urology.
