Victory in the International Student Online Olympiad "Current Issues of General Hygiene"
On February 14-15, 2025, the faculty members of the educational module "Environmental Hygiene" of the School of Public Health at Karaganda Medical University organized an international online student olympiad on the topic "Current Issues in General Hygiene." The event aimed to assess the quality of student training, deepen and strengthen their theoretical knowledge, and support their professional development.
Second and third-year students of the "Public Health/Preventive Medicine" educational program from leading medical universities of Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan participated in this intellectual competition.
The olympiad served not only as an important platform for testing students' knowledge and skills but also for exchanging experiences and strengthening academic cooperation between higher education institutions.
The participants showed great interest in the level of higher education and the subject matter. Aigerim Kerimkhanova, В-ҚДСҚ-01-22 a third-year student majoring in "Public Health" at South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (SKMA), took part in the olympiad, demonstrated excellent results in "General Hygiene," and was awarded a First Degree Diploma.
The Head of the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology at SKMA, Acting Associate Professor P.D. Utepov, and Acting Associate Professor Z.I. Beysembayeva made a significant contribution to the student’s preparation.
