Seminar “Science as a Driver of Progress” held at SKMA
On April 16, 2025, a seminar titled “Science as a Driver of Progress” was held at Lecture Hall 315 of the main building of JSC "SKMA", dedicated to the celebration of Science Day. The event gathered students, doctoral candidates, faculty members, and young researchers — all passionate about innovation, discovery, and academic growth.
The seminar served as a platform for dialogue between early-career researchers and experienced professionals. Participants discussed current challenges in science, the transformation of research in the era of digitalization, and the importance of creative thinking in solving modern problems.
The main goal of the event was to inspire young people to pursue scientific research, to highlight career and academic opportunities, and to emphasize the role of science as a key tool for societal development.
Guest speakers included:
• Yelzhan Amantayevich Birtanov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, project leader — shared insights on the role of science in the healthcare system;
• Akerke Turebekovna Auanassova, PhD, Chief Manager of the Science Department at the Heart Center — spoke about current trends in biomedicine and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration
• Dilyafruz Ganikyzy Bolatova, PhD candidate, Manager of the Office for Commercialization and Project Management — presented practical approaches to bringing scientific ideas into industry and business.
The seminar included active discussions, Q&A sessions, and conversations about motivation, collaboration opportunities, and pathways to implementing research projects.
At the end of the event, participants took group photos and expressed appreciation to the organizers for creating an inspiring and intellectually rich environment.
