Republican Biostatistics Olympiad at SKMA

On April 21, 2025, the Department of Medical Biophysics and Information Technologies at South Kazakhstan Medical Academy hosted the Republican Biostatistics Olympiad. The Olympiad consisted of two rounds and aimed to develop students’ analytical thinking, skills in processing medical data, and applying statistical methods in scientific and practical activities. Teams from six leading medical universities across the country participated in the competition. Our academy was proudly represented by students of group MMA13-23, who demonstrated a high level of preparation, team spirit, and confidence in their knowledge. Based on the results of both rounds, the SKMA team won first place!

We are proud of our students’ achievements and express our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to their success. The event received positive feedback from participants, mentors, and members of the independent jury. All noted the high level of organization, engaging tasks, and a warm atmosphere of scientific collaboration. For the Department of Medical Biophysics and Information Technologies, this was the first experience in organizing a Republican-level Olympiad, and we are pleased that it was a success thanks to the professionalism and coordinated efforts of our faculty staff.
We believe that this event will become a good tradition and will continue to unite talented students from all over the country every year!
