These traditional sports uplift the spirit and embody the rich cultural heritage passed down through generations. It is essential to honor these age-old customs and games, setting an example for future generations. Traditional games such as baige (horse racing), kokpar (a traditional horseback game), audaryspak (wrestling on horseback), zhamby atu (archery targeting a suspended object), tenge ilu (picking up coins from the ground while riding), kusbegilik (falconry), as well as togyzkumalak (a traditional board game), asyk atu (a game involving sheep knuckles), and archery are integral parts of our culture. These games are especially promoted during the Nauryz festivities. In line with this, instructors from the “Physical Education” center showcased authentic Kazakh games to students, organizing competitions in activities such as tug-of-war, audaryspak, togyzkumalak, asyk atu, and langi atu (a traditional kicking game). The students found these events both engaging and educational.
