"HEALTHY LIFESTYLE – HEALTHY CHILDREN, HEALTHY FUTURE"

As part of the Healthy Lifestyle project at IT School-Lyceum No. 9 named after Ө. Жолдасбеков (February 7, 2025), an event was held organized by the head of the Department of General Practice -2 of SKMA, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Dossybaeva G.N., Master of Medicine Otumbaeva E.T., and interns from group 704.
The goal of the project is to promote a healthy lifestyle among adolescents. It is known that health depends more than 50% on lifestyle, 20% on ecology, 20% on genetics, and 10% on the healthcare system. During adolescence, socio-biological factors play an important role, while with age, socio-economic conditions and human behavior become significant.
Adolescents' health is negatively affected by smoking, alcohol, improper and unhealthy eating, physical inactivity, the use of narcotic substances, medication abuse, and internet addiction. The event was conducted for students in grades 8-9. The format included explanatory discussions, open questions and answers, presentations, videos, surveys, discussions, and motivational games. The winner of the competition was awarded a useful prize – a stethoscope. Special attention was given to the harm of nicotine-containing substances, energy drinks, and excessive gadget use, as well as discussing the risks of internet addiction and ways to prevent it. Additionally, career orientation discussions were held for future medical professionals.

School staff and students thanked the organizers and expressed a desire to continue the project. The event received high praise from the dean of the internship, Doctor of Philosophy Kemeilbekov K.S., Professor Dossybaeva G.N., and Master Otumbaeva E.T. The school director particularly noted the work of the interns from group І-ЖТДҚ-04-23 of SKMA: Abdrazakhova M.E., Bakhtybay U.M., Kozhamberdi A.B., Turlybaeva M.A., Temir N., Zhanisbayuly E., and Karakozhaeva S.
The explanatory work made a significant contribution to promoting a healthy lifestyle among adolescents.
