“Great Victory: Honoring Heroism – A Model for Youth”
Today, the Military Department of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy held an Open Day as part of the national event plan titled “Great Victory: Honoring Heroism — A Model for Youth,” approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, began with the performance of the National Anthem of Kazakhstan. The gathering was attended by the university’s pro-rector, Yerbol Salim, who gave a congratulatory speech:
— This year marks 80 years since the end of the terrible war that brought immense suffering to humanity. This historic day holds great significance for us. Each of you participating in this event should remember: our ancestors exchanged the fire of their youth for the battlefield in defense of their homeland. It is our duty to honor and never forget their heroism. Today, you are the ones who will become the pride and defenders of our country, — said Yerbol Kaltursynuly.
After that, the head of the military department, Asan Kasymbekov, took the floor and expressed his gratitude to the school students and their teachers who attended the event. He called on the youth to love their country and homeland.
Following the ceremony, school students were divided into groups and toured the military department’s premises and educational-material facilities.
