Forum of young scientists and students: Opening of the sectional meeting on «Innovations in Neurology, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, and Neurosurgery»

For the first time within the framework of the II International forum of young scientists and students, dedicated to the 45th anniversary of JSC «South Kazakhstan medical academy» a sectional meeting on neurology, psychiatry, rehabilitation, and neurosurgery took place, featuring residents and students. The presentations addressed current issues in neurology, such as the diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, innovative therapeutic approaches, and psychoneurological aspects. Participants demonstrated not only deep knowledge but also original research approaches, making significant contributions to the advancement of science. At the end of the meeting, the winners were announced. First place was awarded to second-year neurology resident Baurzhan Eldar for presenting a unique case of familial muscular atrophy. Second place went to second-year neurology resident Aigerim Bazarova, who showcased a case of Pompe disease, while third place was awarded to fifth-year student Symbat Aitbayeva for her report on the study of anxiety-depressive disorders among students. Following the event, a ceremonial diploma awarding took place at the South Kazakhstan medical academy. Faculty, students, and university administration representatives were in attendance. Leading scholars congratulated the winners and expressed hope for their continued success in scientific endeavors. The forum served as an excellent platform for idea exchange and professional networking, undoubtedly contributing to the development of neurology and science at our academy.
