Celebration of the Great Day of Nauryz at the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology
Nauryz is a celebration of spring, nature’s renewal, the beginning of a new year, and a fresh start in life. It unites different peoples and cultures. In Kazakhstan, where around 130 ethnic groups live in harmony and friendship, this day highlights the importance of unity, mutual respect, and camaraderie.
On the eve of the holiday, the faculty of the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology, together with students from three groups specializing in Dentistry (VMSO-05A-22, VMSO-05B-22, VMSO-06-22), organized an event dedicated to Nauryz.
A concert program was presented with the participation of both students and teachers. The event featured performances on the national instrument – the dombra, poetry readings about the spring holiday of Nauryz in Kazakh and Russian, as well as theatrical performances depicting the traditions of "Qyz alyp qashu" and "Sälem salu". Greetings were delivered in Turkish, Kazakh, Uzbek, and Russian. At the end, students performed a lively Turkic dance.
In addition, a rich dastarkhan was set with traditional treats from various ethnic cuisines. The event concluded with faculty members and students dancing together and enjoying festive dishes.
