Academic mobility of the Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenerology at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev
From 18 to 22 February 2025 the academic mobility of faculty members of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenerology: Professor Abuova G.N. and/and associate professors PhD Berdalieva F.A., PhD Zhuzjasarova A.A. at the Department of Children's Infectious Diseases of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev, during which lectures were delivered and practical classes were held for 5th year students of medical and pediatric faculties and clinical residents. In the educational process such innovative teaching methods as ‘Clinical based learning’ (Clinical case discussion - used multimedia as an element of a brief clinical description), ‘Chart Stimulated Recall’ (Chart Stimulated Recall), as well as group games (TBL, Jeopardy) were applied, along with this the knowledge of students and clinical residents was checked by testing.
During the trip there was a meeting with the Rector of KSMA Professor Kudaibergenova I.O., who presented a letter of thanks to the Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenerology of the SKMA Professor Abuova G.N..
Along with the academic mobility of faculty members of the department Abuova G.N., Berdalieva F.A., Zhuzjasarova A.A. and assistant Ashirova M.Z. took an active part and made oral reports at the International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘Actual problems of infectious diseases’, which was held on 19.02.2025 in the walls of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev. During the conference, scientists from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Russia and Kyrgyzstan exchanged the results of current scientific research in the field of infectious diseases. The report of Professor Abuova G.N. ‘The burden of Congo-Crimean haemorrhagic fever in Kazakhstan’ was heard at the plenary session of the conference.
Acting associate professors of the department PhD Berdalieva FA Berdalieva and PhD Zhuzjasarova AA made reports on ‘Prognostic parameters of severe course of CCHL in children’ and ‘Etiology and frequency of diarrhoea requiring hospitalisation in children under 5 years’ in the section ‘Infectious diseases in children’. Scientific presentation of the assistant of the department Ashirova M.Z. in the section of young scientists on ‘Adaptive immune responses to COVID-19 vaccination in patients with comorbidities, prospective cohort study in Kazakhstan’ was awarded the 2nd place of honour among 20 participants from near abroad countries.
