Department of Surgical Disciplines

 

 

In 1993yon the basis of the Shymkent Pharmaceutical Institute on the Faculty of Medicine opened in which the Department of General Surgery was organized Professor DS Seksenbayev.In 1994y the Department of Faculty Surgery was established, and in 1995y the Department of Hospital Surgery.

In connection with the reorganization of South Kazakhstan State Medical Academy in South Kazakhstan State Pharmaceutical Academy 2009y, the data of the department were reorganized into the departments of surgical disciplines N1 and N2, which functioned separately for 2012y. In 2012y bothdepartments are united into one department of surgical disciplines and functions to the present.

The Department was headed by: in 1995-1996 - Ph.D., Professor Seksenbaev D.S., in 1996-1998 – MDAbdiyev O.S., in 1998-2001 - Professor SeksenbaevB.D., in 2001-2002 - Professor RysbekovM.M., in 2002-2006 - Professor Tazhimuratov R.T., in 2007 -2009 - Professor Bigaliyev M.K., in 2009-2012 - Associate Prof. ZhumagulovK.N.

June 2018 the department is headed by Professor Abdurakhmanov B.A.

The tasks of the department (задачи кафедры)

The objective of the department is the training of students the specialty "surgery", retraining and advanced training of personneland scientific research.

The department realizes the set goal by performing the following functions: implementation of the policy and objectives of SKMA, fulfillment of the requirements of the quality management system (QMS); determine the strategy and decide on the program planning of its work; preparation and graduation of specialists in the main educational programs of higher professional education assigned to the department, postgraduate and additional professional education programs that implement the requirements of the State Compulsory Education Standard, implementation of the educational process for surgical disciplines in accordance with the legislative and regulatory acts of higher professional education, approved curriculum, disciplines programs; strengthening ties with leading universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad, enterprises and organizations in line with the profile of the department.

Scientific priorities of the department

Employees of the department are engaged in priority scientific problems of surgical science: perfection and development of innovative, minimally invasive technologies in the treatment of surgical patients with the use of endovideosurgical interventions on the organs of the abdominal and thoracic cavity, the use of efferent methods of detoxification - plasmapheresis, splenic and placentosorption; introduction and effective application of regional chemotherapy methods - endovascular embolization of tumors of various localizations. Priority aspects of diagnosis and treatment of respiratory allergies in the southern region, reconstructive surgical interventions in various pathologies of the hearing organs. They are engaged in priority scientific problems of traumatologic and orthopedic science: improvement and development of innovative, minimally invasive technologies in the treatment of traumatologic and orthopedic patients with the use of endovideosurgical interventions on large joints blocking osteosynthesis and endoprosthetics.
